Astangha Yoga

A system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

The class only accommodates six people to ensure individual attention, proper alignment and neck/scalp massages during the relaxation period.

Acu-Yoga,  Restorative and Chakra Yoga Classes

Acu-Yoga is a system of exercises that integrates the knowledge of two ancient holistic methods of health maintenance, Acupressure and Yoga.  Both systems relax muscular tension and balance the vital life forces of the body.  Restorative Yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga that promotes deep relaxation for the body through supportive poses. Chakras are the main energy centers in the body, which are key to health.  Chakra yoga is a form of Hatha yoga. The poses are used as vehicles for opening and balancing the chakras.  Each chakra opens us to a different dimension of our being, and is especially activated by one or more of the posture categories.
